
Transforming Medical Device Training with Immersive Technology
The Challenge
Medical device training faced severe operational and financial barriers, including a high dependency on scarce physical equipment, limited access to critical real-world scenarios, and expensive instructor-led onboarding. Furthermore, organizations struggled with a lack of standardized learning across disparate geographies, leaving field technicians with minimal hands-on experience before actual real-world deployment.
Our Solution
Aura Interact collaborated with NVRT Labs to develop a comprehensive ecosystem of immersive training solutions, featuring VR Training Modules for realistic medical device operation, repair, step-by-step workflows, and error-based learning. This was complemented by a Multiplayer VR Training Platform, enabling instructors and multiple learners to collaborate simultaneously through real-time voice communication and avatars. The ecosystem also included AR and cross-platform applications (Mobile AR and Desktop/WebGL) for real-time SOP visualization in the field.
